Dakhla, Morocco – April 2023
Dakhla is one of our favourite places in the world. It has it all – lots of sunshine, over 320 windy days a year, superb views and amazing kitesurfing vibe! It’s an ideal spot for beginners and advanced riders alike offering butter-flat waters and waves in the back. Join us and progress like nowhere else!
Relax daytime at the pool, swim in the ocean, smell the scents of the markets, do a quad tour through the dessert and if you want to let the day draw to an end, look up and get spoiled by the breathtaking sky full of stars. Forget everything you’ve ever heard about the spartan camps in Dakhla. The brand new Zenith Villa Kite Camp offers comfort and luxury and makes the spacious, built of solid rock and free standing bungalows look like little private villas. The heart of the Villa Camp is the open restaurant with its 180 degree, panoramic view of the spot, through a large glass wall. Here, all guests gather around a great wooden table for breakfast, lunch and dinner or simply relax in the lounge area.

MINI VILLAS
The six mini villas are lined up just next to each other. Thanks to fascinating architecture all bedrooms and terraces offer you a view to the lagoon without having your privacy disturbed.
The mini villas consist of a very ample bedroom, which, based on request, can be equipped with different beds; a double bed with a comfortable 160cm wide mattress, an additional large single bed for triple occupancy or two single beds to create a twin room. A writing desk with cupboards and bedside tables makes your bedroom complete.
In the back part of the villas you will find a spacious shower and a second room with the WC.
Behind that you’ll find a dressing room with two separate sinks and trays.
The absolute highlight is the additional, roofless outside bathing area with a large bathtub and a rainforest shower.

RIAD
Besides the mini villas, we have built a new Riad for you. Originally a Riad is a small townhouse built mainly for wealthy families. We used this construction type and converted it into a hotel. Here you will stay with Kitesurfers from all over the world, creating a very special atmosphere. It has been decorated with lots of love and with a Moroccan feel and charm, from the smoothly plastered sand colored walls and the warm lighting .
It is a building consisting of one floor with 6 rooms build around a courtyard. Each room has its own ensuite bathroom. They are situated behind a partition wall with a spacious shower.
The rooms are smaller than the mini villas, but still with ample space for your belongings.
In the middle of the Riad you will find a big open court with a lot of plants, where you can relax and recuperate after a day on the water. This is a great value alternative to the mini villas.

CATERING: FULL BOARD
The Camp offers you a generous full board, as the nearest Town is 30km away. In the morning you will have a nice energising breakfast with bread, croissants, eggs, cheese, fruits, coffee, tea and juice. Please understand that there are no cold cuts of meat available in Morocco At lunch and dinner you can expect a delicious and healthy 3-course menu with a mix of local and international dishes. You will dine like locals together with the team from the hotel and the kitecentre – a true culinary experience! Vegetarian options are also available!

SWIMMING POOL
Even though you have the ocean very close to the apartments, you have enough space to swim in the big on-site pool. Besides you can relax at one of our beach chairs or use the possibility to do some Yoga. Even doing nothing is a good choice when you have such an amazing view over the lagoon. If you get hungry or thirsty, our nice bar offers you enough drinks and snacks for in-between. Additionally there is also a very nice wellness area next to the pool, where you can just enjoy yourself.

There are a number of airlines that fly to Dakhla, however the best connection we've found is the one operated by the Royal Air Maroc - Morocco's own airline. Not only they have comfortable planes but also, due to a royal decree, they take kitesurfing equipment free of charge. So in the ticket price you're getting 23kg of checked in luggage plus additional 23kg for the kitesurfing quiver. This equals to 46kg in total which translates into... well most of your kitesurfing toys! Also, flights from Manchester to Dakhla involve only one quick stop in Casablanca to change planes. What's not to like with prices starting at just £330 return if booked in advance? Make sure to check services such as Royal Air Maroc for more information on flights and prices. And if you have any questions - let us know!
