WingFoiling (or WingSUP'ing or WingSurfing) is a brand new sport that's taking the world by storm. It's the easiest way to get into a wind-driven water sport in the world. With proven teaching techniques we'll show you the basics of how to use a wing, teach you all the safety aspects of this new amazing sport and get you up and riding on a SUP. The next step is to learn how to combine the wing, SUP and a hydrofoil - it's the closest thing to riding a magic carpet!
Our lessons are tailored around all experience levels - from your first time on the water, through those who already know how to SUP, windsurfers or kitesurfers. No matter where you are on your journey with Watersports, we'll help you to take the next step into the world of wings!
WingSurf and WingFoil Lessons in Edinburgh, Fife, East Lothian
The idea behind WingSurfing in simple - you're using an inflatable wing to propel yourself through the water. It's probably the safest wind-water sport out there and anyone can do it. There's no great physical strength required nor extensive sports background. We'll take you through all the steps you need to take, to enjoy WingSUP on your own after the lessons. Having some experience with SUP (standup paddle boards) is always beneficial but not required to take the course.
Once you master using the wing on a SUP board we'll take you through using it in combination with a hydrofoil. This allows the board to hoover over the water, allows for higher speeds and makes it easier to go harder into the wind. It also feels like flying! Word of warning though - it's VERY addictive!
Our main teaching locations include: Longniddry, Gullane, Yellowcraigs (near North Berwick) and some other beaches near and around Edinburgh and Fife.
Course designed to work on your wing skills combined with a SUP board. Includes hire of a Wing, SUP board and a wetsuit. Lessons are run in either 1:1 or 2:1 ratio.
Want to take it to another level? This course will teach you how to combine the wing with a hydrofoil! Price includes hire of a Wing, foil board, hydrofoil and a wetsuit. Lessons are run in 1:1 ratio.
